Employees with lower salaries on high-deductible health plans tend to seek preventive care less frequently than employees with higher salaries, and this may lead to delayed diagnosis of preventable health conditions, according to a study published in the American Journal of Managed Care. Previous research has suggested that low-income earners prefer health care plans with more predictable spending, typically those with lower deductibles and higher premiums, instead of high-deductible health plans that have less predictable month-to-month costs that may be difficult to manage without adequate savings.
Clarity around issues including a company's working conditions, efforts on diversity, equity and inclusion, and carbon impact has become intertwined with the use of technology for tracking and communicating these efforts, writes Jason Clifford, vice president of human resources and communications at Honeywell Building Technologies. Companies have opportunities to use the new tech to create a competitive advantage and satisfied workforce.
Creating a respectful and validating culture can't be done overnight, S. Chris Edmonds says in a video. They know teachers can’t just prepare to help students grieve. Teachers also need room and opportunity to process their grief and worries.
