Over the course of a record-setting first six months, Senate Republicans continue to deliver win after win for the American people! Last week’s passage of President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill is a win for South Carolinians, and all Americans, chasing opportunity, building prosperity, and fighting for their shot at the American Dream. We are continuing to pave the way for productivity and prosperity!

“Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”

Empowering Our Workers with Modern Tools and Flexible Opportunities

Empowering our workers with modern tools and flexible opportunities is essential for strengthening our economy and ensuring they can succeed in today’s dynamic job market. That’s why I joined U.S. Senators Bill Cassidy M.D. (R-La.) and Rand Paul (R-Ky.) in unveiling a legislative package modernizing federal labor law to permit 27 million independent workers to access portable workplace benefits, like health care and retirement. The package will also provide consistency and clarity in determining which workers qualify as independent contractors, making it easier to find jobs that allow for flexibility and independence.

I joined Joe Kernan on CNBC’s Squawk Box to discuss this legislation!

Pushing for Regulatory Clarity in Digital Asset Market Structure Legislation

This week, I called on my colleagues to advance digital asset market structure legislation that provides regulatory clarity for the industry. The Biden administration’s regulation-by-enforcement approach pushed innovation offshore and created a legal minefield for entrepreneurs. I also highlighted the need for legislation that clearly defines which tokens are securities, supports modern trading infrastructure, ensures appropriate protections against illicit finance are in place, and protects investors while fostering innovation.

Modernizing How Americans Receive Hospital-Level Care

In an effort to allow thousands of Americans to safely receive hospital-level care in the comfort of their homes, I introduced the Hospital Inpatient Services Modernization Act, which would extend the Acute Hospital at Home Waiver program and modernize how Americans receive hospital-level care. This legislation specifically addresses the unsustainable costs of the current healthcare system by leveraging technology and alternative care models.

Washington Examiner: Tim Scott rejects ‘hogwash’ criticism of Trump’s handling of Ukraine war

By Asher Notheis

July 6, 2025

Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) pushed back against “hogwash” criticism against President Donald Trump’s navigation in ending the war in Ukraine, contending that the president can be “trusted” to resolve the conflict.

Scott’s comments on Fox News Sunday with Shannon Bream follow the U.S. Department of Defense’s pause on shipments of military aid to Ukraine amid concerns of depleted stockpiles. On Friday morning, Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also spoke regarding the war between Russia and Ukraine.

Following a recent attack that Russia carried out against the smaller country, Scott was asked if the pause on shipments makes sense, to which he pointed to the president’s handling of the Gaza ceasefire and the “progress” Trump has made in Europe.

“I trust President Trump to get the job done, that means that we start here at home,” Scott explained. “The level of escalation around the world requires Secretary Hegseth to take a look at our weaponry and make sure we’re prepared for defense. I believe that after that time has elapsed, that we go back to providing the resources necessary.”
