Joe Biden’s victory last week will bring to an end the presidency of Donald Trump, but it seems unlikely to mean the end of Trumpism. Many of his ideas remain popular and, Janet Daley argues, they will for a long time.
Last week also brought the sad news of the passing of Lord Sacks, the former Chief Rabbi. Lord Sacks was an extraordinary man who did great things for his community, but he was also an outspoken and sometimes controversial figure. Read our obituary here.

Finally, our annual Christmas Charity Appeal has just launched and you won’t be surprised to learn that it has been heavily influenced by the coronavirus. One of the four charities we are working with this year is Macmillan Cancer Support and Anna Maxted has spoken to four cancer patients about what it has been like managing their treatment during the pandemic.
