Jail protest ends: It was a dramatic weekend at the New Orleans jail. Some high-security prisoners there had commandeered a pod in protest. It ended late Sunday night when the prisoners activated a sprinkler system to cause a flood -- prompting authorities to enter and end the protest. Drive-thru daiquiri man: It might just seem like those drive-thru daiquiri shops that dot the Louisiana landscape have been around forever. They haven’t. Adam Daigle has the story about the guy who’s widely identified as opening the first one. It was, uh, very successful and spawned a lot of copycats.
