Good evening All this week, we have been building up to the re-opening of some key services which have been closed to us all since March. Pubs, restaurants, hairdressers, barbers and cinemas are all opening tomorrow and there is no doubt that some people are excited about the prospect. In some ways, that is understandable. Many of us have been confined to our homes for months and so the prospect of getting out to ‘socialise’ is an enticing one. But our favourite venues are going to look very different from tomorrow, if they are open at all. We will have to book a table in a pub and have a limited amount of time until we have to leave to free up the space for others. Some cafes and restaurants will be offering us one-use cutlery to dine with and there will be no music in hairdressers for us to enjoy. For some, this will not matter, but for others, the risks involved will simply not be worth it. So, if you are planning to head out, enjoy the experience. But please think about others, including the emergency services, who will be picking up the pieces if people make up for lost time all in one night.
