| | A rose in South Baltimore? Happy Thursday, folks. At the risk of talking about it too much, tonight, I've got Baltimore Peninsula on my mind. You'll see below our recap of the launch event its developers held on Tuesday. The enthusiasm for the project, perhaps expectedly, was palpable. The positivity about its prospects is significant. But I still cannot help but think about those neighborhoods south of the development formerly known as Port Covington. You know, Cherry Hill, Brooklyn and the others that have seen historic divestment. They're part of the SB7 Coalition of neighborhoods whose community associations have a benefits agreement with the project's developers. But does that mean they'll benefit from this project? What would that look like? Could it bring well-paying, community-sustaining jobs to people in those neighborhoods without risking pushing them out? Please share your thoughts with us by sending a message to baltimore@technical.ly, or by replying to this email, and thanks. — Technical.ly editor Sameer Rao (sameer@technical.ly) P.S.
