As campaign activity and events increase around the world, this week in Spotlight on the Regions we take a closer look at the United Kingdom to check in on consumer sentiment, emerging travel trends, and upcoming events being planned for the market. We also look at some of the ‘Work and Play the Aussie Way’ campaign activity taking place in Japan to inspire young Japanese working holiday makers to choose Australia.

Next month we will see over 1,100 international buyers and Australian tourism operators descend on Sydney for the Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) Live from 15 to 18 May. In addition to more than 38,000 appointments that will take place during the event, there will be plenty of opportunities to reconnect with industry colleagues at networking events throughout the program.
