| | | | | TOURISM AUSTRALIA UPDATE | Last Friday the NSW Government announced that they will be allowing vaccinated international arrivals into the state without quarantining. For now, it means that vaccinated Australian citizens, residents and their immediate family will not need to quarantine upon returning to New South Wales, in line with the National Plan, other international travellers will still need to quarantine. The announcement means with caps lifted, that more Australians will hopefully be able to come home sooner, paving the way eventually for international tourists. We have also seen more great news from the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), Victoria and Queensland (QLD). The ACT eased some restrictions last week, Victoria announced its roadmap which will see eased restrictions from Friday 22 October, and QLD has said its borders will be open to domestic travellers by 17 December. The Australian Government has launched an international COVID-19 proof of vaccination certificate which is now available, and will enable fully vaccinated Australians to travel internationally. The certificate is able to be downloaded digitally or printed and is compatible with COVID-19 travel apps such as the International Air Transport Association Travel Pass. Phillipa Harrison |
