| Good data is good for everyone Quandl’s Abraham Thomas comments on the improving standardisation of data across the ETF industry in an interview in this week’s ETF Express newsletter. “Good behaviour and best practices are always rewarded,” he says. Shelly Antoniewicz from the Investment Company Institute has also been looking at data and the Institute’s paper, published this week, studies how ETFs behaved during the market volatility of earlier this year. ETFs get a gold star, having proved their resilience during a real life stress test. And more figures, this time from Lyxor, and specifically more ESG figures which reveal September ETF inflows saw ESG ETFs continuing their strong trend, setting a record for assets gathered in a month (EUR3.9 billion). Cerulli Associates also found that climate linked factors dominate ETF investor demand.
