Keeping it active

Assets flowing into active ETFs have soared up the rankings in recent months, with Precidian’s Dan McCabe describing them as one of the most sought after ETF strategies. Read our piece on the growth of active, both in traditional ETF form and in its new incarnation of semi or non transparent.

All things ESG dominate this week as well with studies from both Lyxor and Invesco showing the appetite for ESG and that institutional investment into ESG is tending to arrive in ETF form.

Read our interview with Charles Moussier, EMEA Head of Insurance Investment Solutions at Invesco, which reveals that ETFs have become the vehicle of choice for institutional investors to integrate ESG criteria into their portfolios, with insurers switching to ESG via some investments in ETFs because they enable a combination of strict compliance with regulatory requirements, flexibility in their asset allocation, the fine-tuning of their ESG strategy, including the implementation of self-indexing mechanisms, at low cost.

Finally, we have two events lined up for you to be involved with. Please place your vote in our US ETF awards, with nominations selected by Bloomberg. The link is here. Remember, the firm with the most votes wins.

And do take a look at ouretfLIVE North America digital summit, whose programme and confirmed speakers are listed here. Professional investors attend for free so do register now.
