Nicks that
And I thought I loved Stevie Nicks before.
The Fleetwood Mac singer endeared herself to me more than I believed humanly possible this week when she railed against Botox in a new interview.
"I only had it once and it destroyed my face for four months,” the 72-year-old rock star told the Guardian of the wrinkle-erasing toxin. “I would look in the mirror and try and lift my eyebrow and go, ‘Oh, there you are, Satan’s angry daughter.’”
Alexa, play "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac — 'cause that vivid description of a post-'Tox Nicks has got me very 'fraid of changin', too!
Now Nicks but may have sworn off the 'Tox, but she hasn't retired from being a rock star; she's got big plans for life post-coronavirus.
“I have places to go, people to sing for, another album to make,” she said, later noting that “I’m not, at 72 years old, willing to give up my career.”
From her mouth to God's ears. Hollywood could use a lot more of Nicks' brand of candor. Billie Eilish ditches her baggy clothes for a tank top and shorts in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, in another corner of the internet, Billie Eilish's figure was the talk of the town.
The 18-year-old singer, who famously wears baggy clothing to shield herself from criticism about her body, was photographed wearing shorts and a spaghetti-strap tank top while strolling in Los Angeles, giving way to quite a discourse about body shaming.
The "Bad Guy" crooner not-so-subtly made her feelings about the whole thing known by reposting a TikTok video of blogger Chizi Duru with the caption, “Can we normalize normal bodies?”
Even actress Kat Dennings sprang to Eilish's defense, tweeting, "As someone who looked exactly like that at her age, it’d be nice for this unhealthy nonsense to f–k right off. She’s beautiful and normal goodbye!”
I couldn't agree more, just let her — and that angelic voice — live!
So on that note, get out there and dress however you'd like, even if it appears to be inspired by "Mean Girls" villain Regina George.
Drinking of you fondly,
