Every day, your support makes stories like this possible: This fall, parent and teacher Maddy Billingsley's daughter, Katy, took an after-school class that explored the exhibition Unbound Narrative. On the final day of class the students took their parents on a special tour of the exhibition. "As Katy took me through the gallery, her eyes were glowing with wonder and excitement. She was so proud to show me her favorite piece of art work form the Unbound Narrative exhibition. The amazing artwork on display in the museum captivated my daughter Katy from the first viewing. The Unbound Narrative exhibition is also close to my heart because I am teacher. And, of course, I love books. I am impressed and grateful to Cameron Art Museum for the school age programs that they provide and for being an active part in the community of Wilmington. Katy has already requested to be a part of the next school age class that CAM offers." Every day, your support makes stories like this possible. Thanks to you over 55,000 visitors from across the country visited the Cameron Art Museum last year and participated in its programming - from arts integrated field trips for every fifth grader in New Hanover County, to summer concerts in the courtyard, to ArtReach for families at the Wilmington Housing Authority, to Museum School classes for all ages, to Connections gallery tours for those living with dementia. Today, on #GivingTuesday, would you be willing to make a special year-end donation of $50, $100 or whatever you can afford to help us meet our goal? We believe that CAM creates a cultural gathering place that brings people of different cultures and backgrounds together, honors both our shared humanity and our diversity, and nurtures a deep lifelong curiosity about the world. We simply can't do it without you. Your support will make a real, lasting impact on our community by providing high-quality art opportunities to all. Please join us in making more stories like Maddy and Katy's possible. Thank you for your continued support and friendship. With gratitude, Anne Brennan Executive Director |
