Thousands of science educators will be gathering in Nashville, March 30-April 3, for NSTA's National Conference on Science Education. Lately, it's the hottest topic of conversation. Everyone--including Bill Nye--is talking about #NSTA16. There's still time to register and make your plans. If you're within driving distance, don't forget that one-day registration is availableyou don't have to take the entire week off. We hope to see you in Nashville!

Mary Bigelow has great Tips for First-Time Attendees to help you up your game, including how helpful it is to attend the first-timer's session on the first day.

"It's worth the time—you'll get lots of helpful information and meet people to share the conference with."

Resource teacher Jaclyn Austin encourages attendees to meet up with #NGSSchat Tweeps during our second annual LIVE #NGSSchat on Thursday, March 31, at 8 pm CT, in the Omni Nashville Hotel.

"As educators, we strive to leave students with powerful questions to answer and find meaning collaboratively and independently. Shouldn't you do the same for yourself as an educator?"

At the conference, Dr. Christine Cunningham will be talking about why engineering is a must.

"Can you really teach engineering to very young students? I've been working in the field of K–12 engineering for more than a decade, and based on my own research and that of others, the answer is a resounding yes."

"NSTA's conference offers many specialized opportunities for science educators. Find the ones that are right for you, and register for them today."

Bill Nye talks about Dinosaurs, Space, and Favorite Things (Spoiler Alert: The NSTA Conference is one of them!) in his latest blog post:

"One of my favorite times of the year is upon us: the national conference of NSTA....Their work is vital to the economies of the U.S. and Canada. They help us all create a scientifically literate population."

The NSTA community has been abuzz about the conference on the blog too.

Read posts about sessions on STEM Education Tools You Can Take Home, how to Supercharge Your Elementary Science Program, and the types of things you'll ONLY see at an NSTA Conference—for instance, where else can you buy Pangea cookie cutters from a Superbowl star?
