| 21 June 2018 Cynopsis Kids is pleased to announce that television creator, producer and writer Terri Minsky, the visionary behind the hit Disney Channel series Lizzie McGuire and Andi Mack, will receive the Luminary Award at the seventh annual Imagination Awards, Tuesday, September 25 in NY. With a knack for magnetic characters and storytelling, and an uncanny ability to keep in step with today’s sophisticated youth audience, Minsky of late has tackled timely topics including Disney Channel’s first coming-out story arc. The network recently greenlit Andi Mack for a third season, slated to debut this fall. “Not only can we, but now we have an obligation to surprise the audience,” Minsky told Cynopsis. “You don’t want the audience to be ahead of you, ever. That’s what I’m trying to do, stay ahead of a really smart audience.
