First up, an exclusive from our Education Correspondent Calum Ross - Aberdeen University has warned of 'significant doubt' over future amid financial pressure. Calum explains: "The university highlighted “external uncertainties” - such as rising costs, falling numbers of international students and a cut in Scottish Government funding - which it said created a “material uncertainty” over its ability to deliver its financial recovery plan, achieve key targets and meet the terms of a recent refinancing package." Read more here. Next up, we head to our politics team to find out why the SNP government has been accused of 'abject failure' to hit own waste targets. "The Scottish Government set a target to recycle 50 per cent of household waste by 2013 but this has still never been met. Ministers have also missed their target to recycle 60 per cent of household waste by 2020. The most recent figures show that 43.3 per cent of household waste is recycled. "But SNP and Green MSPs have been criticised for rejecting a call for the targets to be embedded into the Scottish Government’s circular economy bill." Read more here.
