Canada is proud to be the Guest of Honour (GoH) at the Frankfurt Book Fair.

Whether virtual or in-person, audiences around the world can immerse themselves in Canadian literature!

Discover Canada’s Singular Plurality:
As a first in the Frankfurt Book Fair’s Guest of Honour program history, Canada is presenting a virtual counterpart to complement its physical pavilion. This "virtual pavilion" takes visitors on a journey as if they were physically inside Canada's GoH Pavilion in Frankfurt, enhancing the presentation of Canadian literature for attendees at the fair, as well as those who are unable to travel!
Check out Canada’s official literary delegation of nearly 60 Canadian authors and illustrators who are participating in a variety of hybrid events and activities.
Canada’s Guest of Honour program includes more than 80 literary and cultural initiatives, including both virtual and in-person activities. Highlights include virtual appearances by Margaret Atwood and Joséphine Bacon at the Opening Ceremony, in-person participation from 6 authors at the ARD Buchmessenbühne (Festhalle) Canada Night, and digital literary content produced by the CBC in partnership with the Department of Canadian Heritage and Canada FBM2021.
