Nagano

Regal mountains, rich culture, beautiful architecture, local cuisine & Snow Monkeys are just some of the many highlights. Visit the famous Snow Monkey at Jigokudani Monkey Park, where you'll walk through to a hot spring pool where these Japanese Macaques like to bathe in the colder months (December-March). The monkeys live in large social groups & are fascinating to watch.

Kyoto

With 2,000 temples & shrines, including religious architecture such as the retina-burning splendor of Kinkaku-ji & Higashi Hongan-ji, this city is a must-see. Visit the historical Nishiki Market or experience part of the tradition at the Nishijin textile district, where you'll discover speciality shops from tofu sellers, & tea merchants, to handcrafted copper chazutsu (tea canisters).

Cherry Blossoms

From March to April each year the splendid Cherry Blossoms are always capturing the attention of visitors & locals as the country is covered in hues of pink. Take your pick from Himeji & Hirosaki Castles, Shimizu, Miyajima, Heian Shrine & Tenryuji Temple to see why they are such a national symbol of Japan.
