After months of anticipation, the formula one season finally starts in earnest this weekend in Bahrain. Many are suggesting this could be Max Verstappen’s year and after some less than glorious pre season testing, Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton will be desperate for a strong start to silence the doubters. The midfield is also looking as competitive as ever with some hotly tipped new blood arriving to challenge the more familiar faces.
Across the Persian Gulf, the MotoGP season is also roaring out of the traps in Qatar. With Marc Marquez advised not to make his return from injury just yet, last year’s champion Joan Mir amongst others will be looking to make hay in his absence.
