By: Charles Bradley, Global Editor in Chief Motorsport.com The decision has been made: We will see the first-ever Formula 1 sprint races, that count towards the Formula 1 World Championship, later this year. The plan is to trial the format over three Grand Prix weekends, comprising 100km races on Saturdays at each round at Silverstone, Monza and Interlagos. Some points will be on offer, and the result will set the grid for Sunday’s Grand Prix at each round. The stumbling block of added costs has now been solved, with teams receiving around $500k to pay for these extra events. What do you think: Will this add spectacle to an F1 weekend?
