Good evening everyone

How do you feel about the requirement to wear a mask while shopping?

From the start of the Covid-19 outbreak, health officials have said that there was no evidence to suggest that wearing a mask made any material difference to the spread of the virus.

And in fact some scientists have claimed that wearing a mask might actually cause more problems than it solves by making people overconfident in their actions as they feel they are more protected.

There is also the issue around proper usage - touching the outside of a mask and moving it up or down can also leave people more vulnerable to the virus.

So you have to think that the wearing of a mask is less about health and more about giving people the confidence to return to the high street rather than doing their shopping online.

And at least wearing a face mask protects other people from breathing in any germs you may have,

It will be difficult to get used to - but so many things in our lives have changed in the past few months that this is just another to add to the list.
