REGISTRATION OPENS FOR FACE OF AMERICA 2017! It's that most wonderful time of year: online registration for World T.E.A.M. Sports' inclusive April 28-30, 2017 Face of America bicycle and hand cycle ride to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania is now open for most participant categories.
Once again, two distinctive routes are available for participants. - Our classic 110-mile route from Arlington to Gettysburg begins at the Pentagon in eastern Virginia, overnights in Frederick, Maryland and ends at the AllStar Expo Complex at the Eisenhower Hotel in Gettysburg in the early afternoon of Sunday, April 30.
- Our second-year 120-mile route from Valley Forge to Gettysburg begins at General Washington's historic Revolutionary War camp west of Philadelphia, overnights in Lancaster, and ends at the AllStar Expo Complex at the Eisenhower Hotel in Gettysburg in the early afternoon of Sunday, April 30. If you've ridden our classic route in the past, try our new route for a different ride experience!
Both routes join together in Gettysburg for the final miles through the historic Civil War battlefields to the AllStar Expo Complex.
Registration is limited in 2017, so early registration is encouraged. Now through November 30, you can save $25.00 on your applicable registration fee by using our Early Bird registration discount code. Enter FOA2017FB in your registration and save this month!
All event categories are open for registration excepting ride marshals, adaptive athletes and caregivers. Invited ride marshals may register through arrangement with the ride marshal coordinators. Adaptive athletes and caregiver registration will be by invitation. These categories will open for registration in early January, 2017.

| ADAPTIVE ATHLETE QUESTIONNAIRE NOW OPEN UNTIL DECEMBER 2 Adaptive military veteran, civilian and first responder athletes from across North America and the world are invited to complete our online Face of America 2017 adaptive athlete qualification questionnaire. Qualified athletes will be invited to register for the April 28-30 ride by our adaptive athlete committee the week of December 19. Online registration for selected adaptive athletes and required caregivers opens in early January, 2017.
Most applicants will find the questionnaire will take from five to ten minutes to complete. Returning athletes and first-time Face of America athletes are encouraged to apply. The questionnaire will close on Friday, December 2. Using a desktop or notebook computer will be easier for most applicants, rather than a smart phone or tablet.
Registration for Face of America, lodging and meals are all included for invited athletes and required caregivers. First-year athletes can request travel assistance by World T.E.A.M. Sports for travel to and from Arlington or Valley Forge. Limited funding is also available for travel expenses for returning athletes. A grant program will administer these funds. Positions in Face of America are limited, with a maximum of 180 adaptive athletes between the two routes. Athletes who are not selected and invited the week of December 19 will be automatically placed on our waiting list. In the event of cancellations, athletes from this list will receive emailed invitations to participate. For our 2016 Face of America, more than 20 athletes on the waiting list received invitations to register.

| EXCLUSIVE FACE OF AMERICA AND WORLD T.E.A.M. SPORTS PRODUCTS AVAILABLE Athletes and volunteers participating at Face of America will have the option of purchasing optional exclusive Face of America and World T.E.A.M. Sports products.
Available for purchase through the online Face of America Store, products include the popular Yeti 20oz World T.E.A.M. Sports Rambler (pictured at right), a World T.E.A.M. Sports Old Favorite Trucker Hat, a Face of America Next Level Tri-Blend Baseball Raglan, and a Primal World T.E.A.M. Sports Lifestyle Jacket.
Products can be picked up at the Face of America rider check-in at the host hotels in Arlington and Valley Forge on April 28. Unfortunately, we are unable to ship these products to purchasers prior or after the event.
In addition to our online store, these exclusive products can be ordered during the ride registration process. A limited number of products will also be available for purchase at Face of America.
Proceeds from the sale of these exclusive products help cover the costs of Face of America, including registration, lodging and meals for our participating adaptive athletes. |
