DEATH OF A FREE MAN: Albert Woodfox, whose 45-year incarceration at the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola - most of it in solitary confinement - made him a symbol for prison reformers around the country, died Thursday at Ochsner Baptist Hospital in New Orleans of complications from COVID-19. He was 75, and had been released from prison in 2016.
