Purchase a Sachs Recreation Center Group Exercise Pass for access to virtual, indoor and outdoor group classes! This pass provides access to 15 outdoor and 2 indoor group fitness classes per week, as well as access to 18 live virtual classes per week. Plus you'll receive access to archived classes! Pass holders will need to reserve space in outdoor and indoor group classes to ensure capacity limits are not exceeded.
Are you and your kids ready for a night out?! Bring them to the Jewett Park Community Center for an evening of supervised, socially distanced fun! Kids will create their own “vehicle” out of a cardboard box with prepackaged supplies for our drive-in movie night! Individually packaged slices of pizza will be provided for dinner with a bottle of water. Masks are required for staff and participants for the duration of the program, except for dinner. Staff will ensure all participants are spaced a minimum of 6ft apart during dinner, while creating their vehicle and while watching the movie.
Get moving this fall! Sign your little ones up for Little Dribblers for their first basketball experience, or Hitting the Fundamentals to better understand each component of the game. Girls have the opportunity to learn new skills in a variety of sports, and achieve goals in an environment tailored for girls.
Whether it's tap or ballet, get your dancing shoes ready for this fall! Four and five year olds can learn the basics in Pre-Ballet and we have classes for adults and teens who are new to ballet as well! Already experienced? It's not too late to register for Intermediate/Advanced Ballet!
Do you love to sing? Would you like to improve your sound, learn proper technique and have fun? Voice lessons are a great way to build confidence and poise while singing songs you enjoy. Each lesson will be tailored to meet your needs and goals. These classes can be done virtually or on site!
The Patty Turner Center is proud to announce a 21-day re-opening plan starting Monday September 14. Advanced registration is required to participate in all in-person programs. Classes will be limited to 10 participants and reservations will be taken over the phone on a first-come first-serve basis. Masks and social distancing are required. Saturday, September 12 9-11am The Patty Turner Center will be hosting its first-ever Native Plant Sale on Saturday, September 12 between 9-11am This outdoor, community-wide event will be partnered with Red’s Garden Center of Northbrook and is open to the public. A wide variety of indigenous plants will be featured and available for sale. To accommodate patrons safely, this event will be divided into two time blocks; 9-9:45am and 10-10:45am. Each time block will be capped at 50 participants. If you wish to attend this event, please register by Thursday, September 10 by calling the Patty Turner Center at 847-940-4010 or email David Shamrock and include your name, the number of people attending, and preferred time slot. You will recieve a confirmation email if availability exists. No walk-ins will be accepted.
