New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy signed groundbreaking legislation in May 2018 that put the state on a path toward 100% Clean Energy by 2050. In the last year, we are proud of what the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities’ Clean Energy Program has accomplished working towards that ambitious goal. Some highlights include: Launching a Community Solar Energy Pilot Program: The Program will enable utility customers to participate in a solar energy project that is remotely located from their property. Applications for the pilot project closed Sept 9. A record-setting offshore wind solicitation: The award for 1,100 MWs of capacity is the largest single-state solicitation for offshore wind in the country.
