A husband a wife from Co Londonderry being treated for Covid-19 have died within hours of each other at Altnagelvin hospital.
View email online | | | | | Jan 22, 2021 | | | | | | Good evening, The Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) today reported the highest number of Covid-19 related deaths since the beginning of the pandemic last year. These weekly figures - 156 deaths in the week from January 9 to 15 - bring a sobering reminder once again of how much an impact the virus is having on families across the Province. Meanwhile, the regional secretary of Unison has offered an unreserved apology for the union's reaction to the involvement of military medical personnel in Northern Ireland's battle against Covid-19. And serious concerns have been raised about the roll-out of the vaccination programme locally after a number of clinics were cancelled at short notice. Enjoy your weekend safely.
