| Fang-tastic cocktails for Halloween dead ahead! These ghoulish creations are sure to help you do the Monster Mash this weekend! Begin with the Bloodline [above], a fruity, fear-inspiring combination of fresh beet, carrot, lemon AND ginger juice, together with a blood orange liqueur that makes our bones rattle and shake! 9 Creepy Concoctions |
These crafty Apple Cider Caramels are a scream on Halloween! They're perfect to put out at any spooky house parties this weekend, but ideally you'll want to make them the day before so the caramel has time to set overnight. Fetch a few cans of your favorite apple cider - you're gonna need'em! Gooey, chewy and pretty darn tasty. Happy Haunting!
The Recipe |
It's a recipe I've waited over a DECADE for! The scrumptious Pastel Tres Leches cake you see above comes from a one-of-a-kind chef, who I call 'La Maestra.' You're going to learn a thing or two from my 'teacher' this weekend on a new Goodtaste with Tanji, October 29-30! ;) Aldaco's has been an Alamo City institution since 1989. We share a table with La Maestra Blanca Aldaco for modern Mexican with ties to Guadalajara. Then, check in at Chi'Lantro - Home of The Original Kimchi Fries! This former food truck's standout starter has folks from all over lining up. After that, the homestretch to Holley's, where the only thing larger than the plates is the chef's personality! Here, southern hospitality and seafood meet flavors from the Far East! Plus, my H-E-B Wine Finds are big and bold. Made for fall! More Details... |
