Farewell, Class of 2021!

The end of another year is upon us which means we must say farewell to another cohort of students in the Energy, Environment and Sustainability (EES) Internship program. The EES partners, which consist of Environmental Studies, Office of Sustainability, Tyson Conservation Corp and WashU Climate Change Program, are thankful and proud of all the graduating students who contributed to sustainability work and advocacy through internships, student groups or grassroots activism. WashU Class Act Since his arrival on campus, Alexis Tinoco has worked to reduce waste on campus. He introduced dorm-room composting to the South 40 and lobbied the Office of Residential Life to fund the program. More>>

Student Impact on Community Juliet Kamau, an Energy, Environment, and Sustainability student associate, started her internship with Environmental Studies in the summer of 2019. She was featured for her work interning for University City. More>>

Celebrate Sustainably Since 2014, Washington University in St. Louis has pursued zero waste receptions throughout commencement celebrations. This year may look different, but there are still plenty of ways to celebrate graduates sustainably. More>>
