Cvent Taps Amex For Corporate Event Virtual Payments

In the multibillion dollar industry of corporate events planning, dozens of suppliers, a mix of payment methods and unexpected purchases draw the curtain over spend analysis. Corporate event solutions firm Cvent is arming its clients with virtual payment capabilities (powered by American Express) to address the challenge. While v-card acceptance is not ubiquitous, Cvent's Patrick Smith says the industry is eager to embrace technology — and that includes the way planners pay suppliers.
