Wisdom Teachings on Divine Mother |

Feeling vs Emotion Love uplifts feeling toward superconscious awareness. Emotion, on the other hand, produces waves on the surface of consciousness, and disturbs its clarity of perception. Emotion is reactive. Like the ocean waves, the higher the wave of positive reaction, the deeper its corresponding trough of negativity. Another simile will be helpful also, in a different way: Emotion clouds our mental skies. When the cloud-covering is dense, we see things more dimly; the denser the clouds, the greater our spiritual darkness. Calm love, not excited emotion, is the key to wisdom, for loveβs rays radiate a warmth that, like summer sunshine, banishes our mental clouds. Deep feeling, and not an absence of feeling, is the key to even intellectual clarity. To suppress feeling altogether, as a means of keeping our skies uncluttered, is to deaden our very desire to look up. We must refine our feelings, not destroy them. |

More About The Book: Part One presents Yoganandaβs wisdom concerning the Divine Mother, helping us understand: Who is Divine Mother? How do we connect with Her? and, for that matter, Why would we want to connect with Her? Part Two is purely for sharing inspiration and awakening the heartβs love through Yoganandaβs prayers and poems, as well as his and Kriyanandaβs chants and songs. |

| | The Bee of My Mind Loves to Drink from Thy Blue Lotus Feet O Divine Mother, the bee of my mind is ever engrossed in Thy lotus feet of blue light. It drinks the honey of Thy motherly love. This bee will drink no other honey but that which is graced by Thy perfume-sweetness. O Divine Mother, flying over the gardens of my fancy, denying myself the honey of lesser pleasures, I have found at last the ambrosia buried in Thy lotus-heart. I have been Thy busy bee. I have soared through the fields of many incarnations, breathing the airs of countless experiences. I will roam now no more: Thy fragrance has quenched at last the perfume-thirst of my soul. | |
