Fife Business Week 2021 is Officially Launched

Now in its twelfth year, Fife Business Week brings you a comprehensive range of online events with the aim of inspiring and supporting Fife’s businesses. Running from 1st to 5th November, there’s a wide range of workshops and events to choose from, delivered by experts in both the private and public sectors.

Many of the events address key topics from recruitment, new supply chain opportunities, sectoral issues, digital connectivity and building a new business model.

COVID-19 Ventilation Fund

The Scottish Government’s COVID-19 Ventilation Fund will help businesses improve ventilation and air quality on their premises to help reduce the risk of coronavirus transmission.

The fund will provide both grants and advice to help companies undertake work to improve ventilation.

Double-0 Heaven For Fife Vintage Firm

15 years to the month after a Fife James Bond fan named his new vintage company after The Man With The Golden Gun villain Scaramanga, he's celebrating supplying two of its products to the new 007 movie No Time To Die.

The vintage specialist, based in Cupar, Fife, sold two of its large brass vintage padlocks to one of the film’s props buyers in May 2019.

Coronavirus Vaccine Certification Scheme - Information For Businesses And Event Organisers

From 1st October 2021, people will have to show proof that they have been fully vaccinated (or are otherwise exempt) to get into certain events and late-night premises in Scotland. 

Businesses and event organisers will need to develop a compliance plan by 18th October 2021 which should describe the system for checking and restricting entry and any other measures that are or will be in place to prevent or minimise the risk of COVID-19 being spread.

International Travel Testing Updated

Testing for inbound international travel is to be eased and will align with the UK following consideration of the logistical, health and economic implications.

Pre-departure tests for fully vaccinated travellers will be removed. Travellers from non-red list countries who have been fully vaccinated in a country that meets recognised standards of certifications will no longer be required to provide evidence of a negative test result before they can travel to Scotland.
