The Isle of Wight is home to many great beaches, but Compton Bay is particularly special. On the two mile stretch of sand you'll see rolling waves and eye-catching multi-coloured sandstone cliffs. It's a fantastic location for surfing, so if you're feeling adventurous jump in to the water to feel the exhilarating waves and salty spray, or watch from the beach as the seasoned surfers show off.

Bamburgh Beach is one of the UK's most atmospheric coastal locations. Take a windswept walk along the sands under the majestic Bamburgh Castle, built during the 12th century, then go inside to see the castle and enjoy their collection of armour. Explore the dunes covered in flora and fauna, search the rockpools for interesting creatures, or roll up your sleeves in the sand with a bucket and spade.

The Gower Peninsula has been cited on numerous lists of the world's best beaches, and Rhossili Bay has even been voted Wales' Best Beach for 2017. Climb down the cliffs and enjoy the breathtaking views across the wide, sandy beach and powerful Atlantic waves. This might not be an ideal beach for swimming, but it is somewhere to enjoy the wonders of nature and other bays nearby are perfect for a dip.
