First announcement: Call for registrations -
"Mathematical developments in Geophysical fluid dynamics"

From April 13 to July 10, 2026, at the Institut Henri Poincaré (Paris)

Important : Deadline for financial support requests is
October 15th, 2025

Dear colleague,

It is our pleasure to announce the thematic three-month programme entitled "Mathematical developments in Geophysical fluid dynamics" at the Institut Henri Poincaré (IHP) in Paris.

Registration for the programme is mandatory and free

Important: the deadline for financial support requests is October 15th, 2025

An Introductory School "Illustration as a Mathematical Research Technique" will be organised at CIRM (Marseille), from 5th to 9th of January, 2026

Registration for the CIRM Introductory School

Three conferences will be organised at IHP:

Workshop 1 from April 20 to 24, 2026: Vortices and vorticity in geophysical flows

Workshop 2 from May 18 to 22, 2026: Instabilities and transitions in geophysical flows

Workshop 3 from June 29 to July 3, 2026: Idealised mathematical models for geophysical flows

This support by the Labex CARMIN and the CIMPA concerns young mathematicians from developing countries. Successful candidates will have their travelling, accommodation and meal expenses covered.

Attention! Minimum stay is 2 months. Age limit 36 or thesis defense less than 5 years ago.
