| As part of our exciting programme of speakers and interactive sessions, the conference will highlight research across a range of themes including: Strategic approaches to early diagnosis - exploring how each UK nation is addressing late-stage diagnoses and how they're assessing progress Cancer screening landscape - diving into the current state of play, what's coming down the line and what's needed to prepare for the future Inequalities in cancer diagnosis - bringing behavioural and epidemiological insights together to understand and address inequalities Innovation in cancer -showcasing approaches that support the translation and adoption of innovations to improve outcomes We are also thrilled to be welcoming Prof Anne Mackie, Prof Tom Crosby, Prof Katriina Whitaker and Prof Bernard Rachet as speakers at the conference. Important reminder: Abstract submission closes on 20 March!
| We are currently finalising our exciting agenda and speakers for this year's Cancer Research UK Early Diagnosis Conference, but we also want to ensure the cancer community is actively feeding into the conversations throughout the conference. We are offering the unique opportunity for you to showcase your work at the conference by submitting an abstract for oral and poster sessions, or case studies for workshops across the following themes: 1. Implementation and optimisation of screening 2. Supporting timely help-seeking presentation by the public 3. Optimising the patient referral journey from primary to secondary care 4. Improving pathways and service models to support timely cancer diagnosis 5. Translation of innovation – new diagnostic tests and tools supporting the earlier detection of cancer 6. Other e.g. general epidemiology |

Are you an Early Career Researcher? ECR bursary applications are now open! |
| We are pleased to be offering the opportunity for a number of Early Career Researchers to be awarded a bursary to attend the conference. ECR's will be required to submit an application form which includes an abstract submission. Following a successful application, you will be invited to deliver a short presentation at the conference to showcase your work to the cancer community, and gain feedback from a range of experienced professionals. | | Cancer Research UK's Early Diagnosis Conference is taking place on 4 and 5 June 2024 at The Eastside Rooms in Birmingham. The conference will bring together the cancer community in the UK, showcasing the latest early diagnosis evidence around the theme 'Driving Evidence into Practice'. Our exciting programme will highlight research across the cancer diagnosis pathway from screening and symptomatic presentation to referral from primary care into secondary care, and diagnosis.
