| Editor's Picks A new study published in JAMA Internal Medicine from researchers at Penn Medicine and Johns Hopkins University reveals how first-year residents, also known as interns, spend their time. According to the study, the breakdown of a typical first-year resident’s 24-hour day includes the following... The common program requirements stipulate that the residency program must provide regularly scheduled didactics. The didactic curriculum should include medical knowledge topics recommended by the review committee of your specialty, as well as those covered by your specialty board examination. The quintessential question has always been, “How much is not enough, and how much is too much?” Although any subject can be explored in terms of what is not enough and what is too much, we will focus this discussion on three healthcare-related subjects for which we desperately seek answers, even though there may be none Marketing Spotlight Get your residents up to speed and ensure ACGME compliance with the Resident’s Orientation Online Learning course.
