THIS WEEK'S QUESTION:
Lakeway Commons, a Shrewsbury retail development anchored by a Whole Foods, includes residential units, something new shopping centers outside of city centers didn't have until recently. Two other area shopping centers under construction, Meadow Walk in Sudbury and Maynard Crossing in Maynard, also feature housing, and Shoppers World in Framingham has proposed housing as well.
Would you live in a development anchored by a big box store?
Yes. It has the benefits of urban living with better parking.
Yes. Although it would depend on the types of stores in the development.
No. I prefer residential-only neighborhoods.
No. I like mixed-use living but big box-anchored developments are too inauthentic.
