| BrainHQ is made by Posit Science, a company that was founded by Dr. Michael Merzenich and Jeff Zimman in San Francisco in 2003. Mike came to San Francisco in the early 1970s to take a job as a research scientist at the University of California San Francisco, and raised his family in the city. Jeff—a recovering lawyer, banker, and venture guy—had lived in the city for decades as well. |

| Our early employees came from local universities like UCSF and San Francisco State, and the place that people first used our brain training exercises was a retirement community here in the city—we met them when an employee’s young child went there on a Halloween visit in costume. |

Since those early days, the team has worked out of an office in downtown San Francisco—though the COVID pandemic taught us that we are just as effective working from home, and now many of our employees continue to do so!
Since Posit Science was founded almost 20 years ago, a lot has changed in the world of brain training. We’ve seen companies with a lot of money and not much science come (and go). But we pioneered this field, and we're here to stay. We believe in our science, and think people should have access to it—so they can work toward a happier, healthier brain.
We are a small group of dedicated, passionate, science-focused people who love what we do. We are proud to bring brain health to all of our customers. And we are so grateful that you have made the choice to join us on this journey!
