| We are proud to have built a team of scientists, engineers, designers, and business leaders who are committed to Posit Science's mission of translating breakthroughs in research to promote brain health and cognitive performance. Some of our employees have been at Posit Science since the company’s inception—and many more have celebrated more than a few anniversaries with us. Our company culture has changed a little since the COVID pandemic–while some of us still come into the office every day, a few work from further afield, from Oregon to Montana to Puerto Rico. But whether we meet in person or online, it’s fun and energizing to be surrounded by smart, creative, and dedicated co-workers, continuously striving to bring brain health to our customers and partners. |

From the early years… Posit Science–the makers of BrainHQ–was founded by Dr. Michael Merzenich and Jeff Zimman in San Francisco in 2003. Mike came to San Francisco in the early 1970s to take a job as a research scientist at the University of California San Francisco, and raised his family in the city. Jeff—a recovering lawyer, banker, and venture guy—had lived in the city for decades as well. The two founded Posit Science with the goal of bringing breakthroughs in neuroscience out of the lab and into the hands of people, where it could do real good. Our early employees came from local universities like UCSF and San Francisco State, and the place that people first used our brain training exercises was a retirement community here in the city—we met them when an employee’s young child went there on a Halloween visit in costume. |

…to our 20th anniversary This year marks Posit Science’s 20th anniversary. Since our founding, a lot has changed in the world of brain training. We’ve seen companies with a lot of money and not much science come (and go). But we pioneered this field, and we're here to stay. We believe in our science, and think people should have access to it—so they can work toward a happier, healthier brain.
We are a small group of dedicated, passionate, science-focused people who love what we do. We are proud to bring brain health to all of our customers. And we are so grateful that you have made the choice to join us on this journey!
