Shot in the dark: Vermont police return a long-lost item Over 25 years ago, a resident of Albany, Vermont was the victim of a burglary that cost him a TV, VCR, several baseball cards and a prized Remington shotgun. The burglars seemed to get away with the crime, but time has a funny way of reuniting people with the things they lose. During a routine investigation of an unrelated incident, police in Swanton found the stolen gun in someone else’s home. This residence was unrelated to the original burglars, but police were able to match the weapon to the report from the decades-old burglary. The victim has since been reunited with his lost property. What a heartwarming story, and one that truly proves there’s not a lot going on in the way of crime in Vermont. It could always be worse, you know? The man could have lost a laser shotgun. Tap or click here to see what this futuristic weapon is capable of. → |
