| | | HI THERE, I hope you are doing well. It has been a while since we last sent out a newsletter, but that doesn’t mean we have been staring out of the window! We have been working very hard behind the scenes on some new collaborations and developments as you can see below. Also, as an organization we have gone through a transitional period, which has resulted in a more efficient and healthy business. Unfortunately we also lost 2 valued colleagues in the process, Kim Tjoa and Laury Zwart, which means you will be dealing with me from now on 😊. For those of you who don’t know me (yet): my name is Lieke and I have been involved with FLOOW2 since the very beginning in 2012, being responsible for the development of FLOOW2 Healthcare. Since early this year I am responsible for strategy and partnerships of FLOOW2 as a whole. If we have not had the pleasure to meet in person before, I hope this will happen in the near future. If you have any questions, or just want to get a (digital) coffee, please sent me a message: looking forward to connecting with you! |

| Sharing platform for sustainable healthcare in the Netherlands |
---|
| | | Using an online sharing platform, Dutch healthcare organizations can now sell, rent, exchange, swap of give away goods and services they are (temporarily) not using. This ‘marketplace’ is an easy and practical way to save costs and contributes to making healthcare more sustainable. The sharing platform is initiated by Intrakoop, the leading procurement cooperative for healthcare in the Netherlands, in collaboration with FLOOW2. The Intrakoop Sharing Platform is not only meant for offering idle capacity or facilities; healthcare organizations can also use it to advertise a need for certain products or services. Making excess stock or items from one organization available for others stimulates reuse, reduces waste, and saves healthcare costs. All 550 Intrakoop members (hospitals and organizations for elderly, disability, mental or home care) have received an account last May 18th to start sharing. |

| | PharmaSwap’s success story continues |
---|
| | | To prevent wastage of medication approaching the expiration date pharmacists in the Netherlands are using PharmaSwap to efficiently match demand and supply. The platform now reaches well over 300 pharmacists and since recently also includes 7 wholesale organizations offering their stock that is about to expire. Savings have now amounted to more than €300.000 worth of medicines that would otherwise have been discarded, but were now issued for patientcare instead. |

| | How the corona crisis has put sharing in a new perspective |
---|
| | | If one thing became crystal clear the past year, it was the importance of transparency of available goods and services and the necessity to collaborate. With the corona pandemic disrupting life as we knew it, businesses and organizations saw themselves faced with a lack of resources or goods, staff sitting on the bench while for others business peaked resulting in a sudden need for staff or facilities. Transparency of demand and supply and efficient matching for collaboration turned out to be key for flexible and resilient businesses and organizations. Now, in the aftermath of the crisis many local governments are using their economic recovery plans to incorporate sustainable and circular practices for the local business community. Digital marketplaces are a perfect tool to help create more transparency and foster collaboration. For example, nearly 200 municipalities and business parks are now using our platform Parksharing to introduce the concept of sharing for their local businesses. Want to know more?
