☔ We have another unsettled day Wednesday as a cool, upper level low lingers across the region. We’ll see peeks of sunshine again and some hit-and-miss showers with isolated thunder.
🌡️ Like Tuesday, temperature will be the warmest in northern Minnesota — in the low 70s — while southern Minnesota will see temperatures mostly in the upper 60s.
☀️ Sunshine should increase Thursday and that will help to warm temperatures up. By Friday and the weekend, we’ll be well into the 80s, about 10 or more degrees above normal.

🏛️ Minnesota lawmakers unlikely to finish budget ahead of window for worker layoff notices. After plowing through two deadlines — one constitutionally required for session adjournment and another for an aspirational pre-Memorial Day finish — lawmakers are setting a new target to complete a $66 billion budget.
⚖️ Feds arrest newest Feeding Our Future defendant at Twin Cities airport. Prosecutors say that Hibo Daar of Eden Prairie bought an airline ticket to Dubai on the same day that federal agents searched the New Vision Foundation, a St. Paul nonprofit that allegedly operated fraudulent meal distribution sites.
🌿 Minnesota opening new registration period for sellers of hemp-derived cannabinoid products. There is a new registration window for businesses that sell hemp-derived cannabinoid products, including beverages to gummies. Businesses not registered to sell those products face steep fines and other penalties.

🏀 Williams, Collier lead the way as the Lynx topple the Storm 82-77 in early West showdown. Courtney Williams scored 23 points, Napheesa Collier had 16 points and 10 rebounds and the Minnesota Lynx held on to beat the Seattle Storm 82-77 on Tuesday night in a matchup of early season leaders. |
