She has served as an IDF captain, as a member of Israel's Defense Ministry negotiating team with the Palestinians, and as an assistant foreign policy advisor to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. She received her BA from Columbia University and her MA from Harvard University.

A former reporter and editor, he has managed the U.S.-sponsored Arabic network Alhurra Iraq and headed the Washington Bureau of the Kuwaiti daily Al Rai. He holds a BA from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon.
