Happy Pride Month, Reader!

I’ve spent two decades as the Forward’s archivist (and my whole life being a Jewish, feminist lesbian), which has allowed me to search for and reflect on the paper’s historical coverage at the intersection of Jewish and LGBTQ communities. 

Without ongoing commitments to inclusion, without a queer eye on our Yiddish archives, our stories are likely to remain unseen or, worse, be yanked back into everpresent closets.
