Hey hey, Baltimore. Hope you're doing well this hump day.
First off, check out Ed Mullin's guest post previewing the Baltimore tech end-of-year happy hour we're partnering on. It takes place at Union Craft Brewing next Wednesday, Dec. 20. Ticket proceeds will benefit the Baltimore Robotics Center, which Ed leads.
Second, this'll be your last newsletter until Monday. The whole Technical.ly team is booked up tomorrow with all-team bonding and wrap-up activities at our offices in Philly. Are you doing something similar for your company? Let us know your own holiday plans by emailing baltimore@technical.ly!
Until we return to your inbox Monday, here's a bit of recent news from a major local cyber company.
Blackpoint Cyber named Mike Estep its VP of communities, following a $190 million investment from Bain Capital. With a focus on partner enablement and community programs, Estep will work on bolstering the Blackpoint community by providing elite content, training, tools and thought leadership. These resources aim to help MSPs be more successful while safeguarding clients. Estep, who boasts over 35 years of experience in the MSP and technology worlds, held key roles at BECA Inc. for 33 years, including CEO and president. He is also a cofounder of Blue Alliance, an investment group supporting over 37,000 users across 43 states.
