Beatlemania is back in the Bay! The de Young museum presents a behind-the-scenes look at the meteoric rise of the world’s most iconic band. Explore more than 250 photographs shot by Paul McCartney, alongside film clips and archival materials, charting the band’s journey to superstardom in the early 1960s. Taken at a time when countless cameras were pointed at The Beatles, McCartney’s photographs reveal an intimate perspective on the band as they made history. Admission is free on July 17th and 18th to KQED members plus one guest who show their current member card. |
