A reprieve for the French Quarter: Freddie King has scuttled his controversial plan to suspend enforcement of rules that protect the historical integrity of French Quarter buildings, but residents and preservationists say they're going to keep a close eye on the issue. King said he is only seeking to ease the burden onerous regulations have on local residents and business owners, and he says he'll be back with a different plan later this year. Tony McAuley has the details. Entergy files suit: Entergy New Orleans and the City Council are headed back to court to fight over a $1 million fine a judge has already deemed improper. Entergy claims the city is trying to reimpose the fine in a manner that still violates the judge's order. Ben Myers has the story. Tennis, anyone?
