Charleston School of Law selects new dean

Larry Cunningham has been chosen to replace outgoing dean Andy Abrams, who has been with the law school for 12 years and will continue as a member of the faculty. Cunningham comes from St. John’s University School of Law in New York.

FTA allocates $16.9 million to Lowcountry public transit

The Federal Transit Administration has allocated $16.9 million to the Charleston metro region to help the area’s public transportation system respond to COVID-19. The funds will be used to cover operational costs, operational losses and the purchase of additional cleaning supplies and cleaning services.

Katherine McDonald, owner of LulaKate bridal boutique, has shifted her team’s focus to making protective masks for heath care workers. The masks are fashioned out of bridal garment bags and fitted with elastic and a filter.
