The surgical robot maker released its Q1 earnings report after Tuesday's close, and the results beat Wall Street's expectations. Intuitive Surgical reported sales of $1.70 billion, beating the consensus estimate of $1.60 billion. EPS of $1.23 per share also topped the $1.20 target. The company also reported a 26% YoY increase in procedure volumes for its da Vinci robot through March Several analysts maintained bullish ratings on the stock after its upbeat report, including Wells Fargo, Citigroup, and Raymond James. ISRG is the premarket's leading S&P 500 stock with an 8.0% gain. My Take: This stock's chart looks promising, and the company appears to be executing on all fronts. I am bullish on ISRG. Intuitive Machines [LUNR] - Last Close: $10.40 News of a big government contract is skyrocketing shares of Intuitive Machines. After Tuesday's close, the company announced a joint venture with KBR [KBR] had won a cost-plus-fixed-fee indefinite deliver deal with NASA. The contract has a five-year base performance period and a maximum ordering volume of $719 million. Intuitive Machines added that the contract is intended to support efforts relating to NASA's Joint Polar Satellite System, space exploration, and "in-space services." Shares of LUNR jumped after the announcement. It's currently up 33.5% and trading actively in the premarket. My Take: This NASA deal could be an absolute game-changer for LUNR. It makes the company a legitimate player in the space business. I'm definitely adding this one to my watchlist. Legend Biotech Corp [LEGN] - Last Close: $52.24 A recent regulatory filing is lifting shares of Legend Biotech. The clinical-stage biopharma firm released a Form 6-K on Tuesday that included a bullish updated on the company's licensed drug sales. Under a 2017 licensing agreement with Johnson & Johnson [JNJ] subsidiary Janssen Biotech, its CARVYKTI® drug sold $72 million in Q1. Legend cautioned that the sales figures were unaudited and preliminary. It will report the final numbers on its quarterly financial statement. The filing sparked a run-up in shares of LEGN, and its currently one of the premarket's top performers with an 18.4% gain. My Take: LEGN could be on course to break through a pivotal resistance point at $55 per share. If it can pull it off, there could be more gains ahead for this fledgling biotech. a.k.a. Brands Holding Corp [AKA] - Last Close: $0.4068 a.k.a. Brands is trending after releasing preliminary earnings data. The online fashion brand announced unaudited Q1 2023 results late Tuesday, and the numbers surpassed expectations. a.k.a. Brands said it expects Q1 net sales of roughly $120 million, outpacing its previously issued guidance of $113 million to $116 million. The company's adjusted EBITDA1 expectations also topped its previously-issued guidance. Telsey Advisory Group reiterated its "market perform" rating on AKA and maintained its $2 price target in response to the report. AKA is up 31.0% on the heels of the upbeat earnings data. My Take: This stock's chart is ugly. If you really want to dabble in AKA, you might want to wait for a more promising setup.
