Dear Reader,
It's almost Shabbat and since we won’t be emailing you late tonight to give you a last-minute reminder, I wanted to make sure you saw my colleague Rachel’s email from this morning!
Tonight is your last chance to support the Forward in 2021. If our work shaped your views this year, whether by making you think about an issue in a new way, teaching you something you didn’t know before, or helping you feel connected during another incredibly difficult year, join me in making a year-end contribution to power the Forward’s irreplaceable Jewish voice in independent journalism. The clock’s running out — make your gift before the ball drops at midnight!
Happy New Year,
Alan Silberstein Board Chair The Forward
P.S. Rachel’s message had even more to say — if you missed it, it’s below. -----Forwarded message-----
From: Rachel Fishman Feddersen, the Forward
I can’t believe we’re reaching the end of another year. When I look back at the beginning of 2021, it feels like it was a different world. Like so many of you, I was full of uncertainty — about what the new presidential administration would bring, how to gather with family for my son’s bar mitzvah in the midst of a COVID-19 surge, and how the emerging news about a vaccine would change our lives.
But as I consider that time, I remember there was one thing I was absolutely sure about: whatever happened in the new year, our team at the Forward would have it covered.
As 2021 comes to a close, now is your chance to support fiercely independent Jewish journalism in the year ahead. I am incredibly proud of our accomplishments in 2021:
Your gift can help us continue this work and keep the Forward publishing in 2022 and beyond.
If you’ve already made a gift this year, please know how grateful we are and consider making an end-of-year donation. If you haven’t yet made a donation, now is the perfect time.
Thank you for being a Forward reader and for your commitment to Jewish news that matters.
Sincerely, ![]() Rachel Fishman Feddersen The Forward |
