BoldBrush Recommends: Garth GlazierGet Notified When Garth Posts New Art BiographyI graduated from Alma College Michigan with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking and Design. My career path took me into the world of illustration for four decades working first as a studio artist in Detroit and then as a nationally represented independent illustrator. I have illustrated virtually every subject from cars to editorial pieces to murals. As a fine artist, my work tends toward a narrative approach, and as such, many of my paintings seem to fit within a storytelling genre. I like to think that each of these works of art is a little piece of my own ongoing story as a native of the Great Lakes region. I grew up outside under the trees and in the woods so to speak so nature is always front an center. My art is and always will be about storytelling whether it overlaps into what most would call illustration. As a result, my work can seem like a prelude to a story.
