According to USDA, 58% of corn is still in good condition, but that's down 2% from last week, while the amount in poor condition inches higher. Winter wheat in good condition is slightly down to 39%, while the amount in fair (34%) or poor (13%) condition is up by 2%.

Focusing on marketing and margins will help farming's next generation protect against the ”unknown unknowns,” says Alan Brugler, a market analyst and adviser.
